New Perio Charting Paths

  • All paths visible under System > Preferences > User Preferences > Charting > “The navigation path for the perio condition data entry screen”. There are now over 120 different path options. Speak with your Implementation Specialist or Account Manager for assistance locating your preferred path.

Patient Ledger and Accounting Operations

Medical Info

  • Added question on page 3 “Are you pregnant?”. This question will appear only for Female patients both onscreen and printed or printed on Blank Medical Info forms.

 

Procedure Usage Count Screen

  • Patient Ledger > Insurance tab > Procedure Usage Count Screen – Added a new button to show fluoride billed in current insurance year. As with other Procedure Usage Counts, the codes are listed in the window, and units must be set within your Fee Guide to list properly. Please contact your Account Manager or Support Tech for assistance.

 

Insurance Tab

  • Click on coverage limits / amounts remaining > Coverage Used Elsewhere window. Added space to record Patient Deductible paid elsewhere. Similar to the Coverage Used Elsewhere, this will remove the Deductible required in the amount marked as Paid Elsewhere for the current renewal period in Maxident. Also added the option to delete entries from this record in case they are made in error.

Committed Notes

  • Notes > Chart Notes > Committed – added a search button so that Committed Notes can be searched for using keywords.

 

Uncommitted Chart Notes

  • MaxiChart > Notes > Chart Notes > Uncommitted Chart Notes – enhanced the automatic saving functionality that once Save is clicked the first time, it keeps all edits and changes made after.

 

Manage Predefined Notes

  • MaxiChart > Manage Predefined Notes > Chart Note – updated to sort predefined chart notes based on the Windows sorting method — sorted numerically first then alphabetically for the list. For example, a note title starting with “1” would appear before one starting with “A”.

 

Patient With a Medical Alert

  • The Medical Alert icon will flash initially then remains yellow in MaxiChart to indicate a Medical Alert on the patient’s information. If no Medical Alert exists for the patient, the icon will stay blue.

 

Treatment Grid (below Resto Ondontogram)

  • The Tooth Number should be bolded to be easier to see in the Treatment Details Grid. Updated to place the Tooth Number in a white box with bold font to highlight.

 

Additional Clinical Examination

  • Added an indicator in MaxiChart for Additional Clinical Examination (ACE) entries beyond PSR Values. “Clin Exam Date” now appears to the left of the Posted Note icon when an ACE entry has been made. The Date will update to the last saved date as the form is updated.

Chart Notes

  • when printing, the formatting of a Chart Note including strikeout were not printing properly.
    • Fixed to show formatting of the Chart Note on the printout.

 

Committed Chart Notes

  • Notes > Chart Notes > Committed Chart Notes > right click menu “Copy Selected Text” – the Paste option was not coming up properly to paste the note outside of the Chart Notes window.
    • Fixed to properly copy part or all of the Committed Chart Notes and paste in any space.

 

Uncommitted Chart Notes

  • Found an issue with an unsaved Uncommitted Chart Note disappearing when the user selected No in the confirmation window “Are you sure you want to cancel this note?”.
    • Fixed so that if the Chart Notes window is minimized before the Uncommitted Chart Note is saved and other entries are made on the patient’s chart, the answer No to the question above retains the entered Uncommitted Chart Note. If the office is using the auto note feature in MaxiChart, the automatically created note from the charted treatment will be saved on its own tab separate from the unsaved Uncommitted Chart Note.

Receptionist

SMS Automatic Confirmation

  • SMS Monitor added the ability to automatically confirm patients from their SMS Response as can be set for Email Confirmations. If the patient responds with the appropriate preset text at the start of their SMS response, the SMS Monitor will update the Next Appointment for the patient to a Status of Confirmed and add a checkmark in the “Is Confirmed” column in the SMS Monitor. By clicking on the “+” on the SMS Message marked Confirmed you can also see the corresponding Appointment that was updated. If there are multiple family members with the same mobile number and appointments on the same day, all appointments will be marked as confirmed.
    • Settings must be updated in Location Preferences to turn on Automatic sending of Appointment Reminders, contact your Support Tech or Account Manager for assistance.

MaxiPlanner / Scheduler – Enhancements

Appointment Book

Add / Edit Appointments Window

  • Created more “Quick Unit” buttons for 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 unit appointments. These buttons were added to better assist our 10 minute unit offices.
  • Added patient’s Preferred Name to the Patient field. Patients with a Preferred Name will have their name displayed with (Prefers: XXX) at the end, example: [2.0] John White (Prefers: Johnny).
  • Added “Chart Number” field to the patient info in the lower right of the window. This field will be blank if there is no Chart Number on the patient’s Profile Tab.
  • When Adding / Editing an Appointment, if you click the Recalls button (lower right) and add a Recall for the patient here, you can now attach this newly created Recall to the currently open Appointment. This will update the Recall to Is Booked and show the Appointment Date on the Recalls Tab of the patient’s ledger.
  • The “Booked By” field was enhanced to be locked to the user logged into Maxident for offices with logins on their Maxident program.

 

Find Free Time

  • Created more “Appointment Length” buttons for 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 unit appointments. These buttons were added to better assist our 10 minute unit offices.

 

Show Task List Manager

  • MaxiPlanner > View > Show Task List Manager – added a new option to “Show Future Tasks” where previously only current day or past tasks not completed could be viewed.

 

Appointment Confirmation Manager

  • MaxiPlanner > View > Appointment Confirmation Manager – the display grid updated to resize properly with the window when the window size is changed.

 

Adding New Chair

  • When adding a new Chair in MaxiPlanner, it will now default to the office’s location to better work with other parts of the program.

 

Show Family’s Recommended Treatments

  • MaxiPlanner > View > Show Family’s Recommended Treatments – added tabs for Patient / Family and radio button options at the bottom to display Appointments / Recalls / Treatment Plans. Note: Treatment Plans older than one year will not be displayed.

 

Preferences

Reports

  • System > Preferences > Location Preference > Reports. Added a new preference to turn off auto-saving of an Individual Statement into the patient’s Document Manager. Preference is named “Automatically save individual printed statements to the Patient’s Document Manager.”

 

EOB

  • When an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) response is received from insurance with electronic claim submission, added option to automatically process EOB to redistribute charges from insurance to the patient and vice versa. This Location Preference, when turned on, will recognize responses from insurance in the EOB and redistribute charges on the insurance portion for each code to match the amounts covered by insurance in the EOB. Therefore, you spend less time manually redistributing charges for invoices when an EOB is received!

 

Management Screens

Never-Lose-a-Patient Recall and Appointment System (NLAPRAS)

  • Operations > Never Lose a Patient Recall and Appointment System > search results > patient information (lower right) > Call History.
    • Updated to default to display all family member’s Call History.
  • On the Treatment Plan tab, the button for “Book Appointment” now takes you to the Current Date in MaxiPlanner to book a patient’s appointment from a Treatment Plan search in this window. On the Recall Tab, the “Book Appointment” button still takes you to the Recall Date in MaxiPlanner.
  • Never Lose a Patient Recall and Appointment System (NLAPRAAS) > Recalls > Patient Info section – updated to show “best time to call” from the patient’s Profile Tab.

 

Referrers

  • Manage > External Referrers > Referrers – added ability to merge and delete duplicate External Referrers in the office listings. You can select one or more “Source” External Referrers on the left to be merged into the “Destination” External Referrer on the right. As the process is completed, a confirmation window appears with the total number of patients who had their External Referrer updated.

 

Patient Ledger and Accounting Operations

Medical Info

  • Added a new screen for physical info into the Medical Info found with the new Physical Info button at the bottom of the Medical Info window. Physical Info gives specific space to record a patient’s height and weight in Metric or Imperial units, along with notes. The Physical Info section can be accessed while the Medical Info is Locked but cannot be opened at the same time as the Dental History.
  • Medical Alert/Medical Info – added options so that an office can select which Medical Conditions in the Medical Info form (page 2) trigger a note in the Medical Alert for the patient. Setting is in Medical Info > File > Manage Medical Conditions for Alerts. Here an office can select any or all of the page 2 medical conditions from the Medical Info to show in the Medical Alert moving forward.
  • Added two new conditions — HIV and AIDS — on page 2 of the Medical Info forms. These conditions can also be selected to flag onto the patient’s Medical Alert from Medical Info > File > Manage Medical Conditions for Alerts.

 

Procedure Usage Count Screen

  • Updated to include a column for Invoice Date along with the Payment Date and Receipt Type.

 

POS Patient Payment

  • Updated to lock down the amounts windows when distributing a payment between invoices so the maximum amount to be distributed is the current full POS Payment entered.

  • Added a new Custom Find option: Subscriber ID

 

Reports and Printouts

Bank Deposit Review Detail Report

  • Reports > General Reports > Review > Bank Deposit Review Detail Report – added a criteria panel to select Insurance Company for the report. This would allow an office to check the monies received from a particular Insurance Company against the Doctor’s bank statement.

 

Medical Tab

  • On the Medical Info form (Medical Tab > Medical Info OR Patient > Medical Info) the Blank Medical Info printout was missing the disclaimer added to all Current Patient printouts of the same form. Added the disclaimer to the Blank Medical Info form printout.

 

Referral Form For Current Patient

  • Reports > Referral Form For Current Patient OR MaxiChart > Patient > Referral Form For Current Patient – added the option to update patient’s Referred To field while completing the form via the pencil to the right of the Referred To field. User must select Yes when prompted to update the Referred To for the patient to the Referrer selected here.
  • Updated to display the Policy Holder’s name and DOB for the primary insurance policy.
  • Using the Maxident French Translations for both a Maxident User and for a patient with their Language set to French on the Administrative Tab, found there were printouts that were still printing in English for the patient. Updated to show the “Referral Form for Current Patient”, “Dentist Routing Slip for Current patient”, “Appointment List for Current Patient”, “Statements” in French for patients with the correct Language designation. Statements will print in French only if the Head of Family’s Language is set to French.

 

Ortho Contract Listing Report Options

  • Reports > General Reports > Ortho Contracts > Ortho Contract Listing report—added filter in the background to exclude any deleted Ortho Contracts.

 

Detailed Receipt

  • Detailed Receipt had the office’s address information on the top right so it did not fit in a dual window envelope. Switched with the logo to now have the address on the upper left to fit properly in a dual window envelope with the patient’s address.

 

Practice Summary vs. Procedures Itemized

  • Found the lab totals were slightly off. Concern was traced back to more than one lab code used. If office is using more than one lab code, the Practice Summary report will show the grand total, and the Procedures Itemized needs to include both lab codes in the code range to match.

 

Patient Without Future Appointment Reports

  • Reports > General Reports > Listings > Patient without future appointment reports – added criteria to sort by Last Appointment Date range to find those patients who attended the office but left without a future appointment.

 

Bulk Payment Report

  • Bulk Payment Report generated at the end of a Bulk Payment operation – updated to include the name of the insurance company on the printout.

 

Miscellaneous

Find Patient Search Window

  • Updated to show a tooltip regarding search criteria available for use and added the ability to search by 10-digit phone numbers utilizing the hyphen (-) that was not previously required in the search.

Management Screens

Document Manager

  • Will remember the width of columns when the columns are manually resized. The resized columns will be remembered by the system when the Document Manager is closed and reopened for the same or a different patient.

EDI Manager

  • EDI – iCA v3 or higher, a screen pops up every time a claim is sent instead of remaining minimized in the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Fixed to remain open and minimized between claims so it will not pop up with each claim.

 

Never Lose a Patient Recall and Appointment System (NLAPRAAS)

  • Should display patient’s preferred name in the window. Updated to display the Preferred Name in the lower right with the patient’s personal information.

Treatment Plan Manager

  • Treatment Plan Manager > Insurance Tab – When editing the “Approval Note” section, the Save All Changes button does not get enabled. Fixed to enable the Save All Changes button as the text is entered into the “Approval Note” section on the Insurance Tab.
  • Added the ability to print a Treatment Estimate with only selected Treatments from the Treatment Plan/Estimate selected. When printing a Treatment Estimate, only the selected codes will appear on the printed sheet.

Patient Ledger and Accounting Operations

Medical Info

  • Added a button for “No change since the last visit” so that nothing needs to be added or changed to activate the “Save Changes” button when the patient comes in. This is so that you do not have to update an answer to a question or add a custom question regarding changes to save an updated copy of your patient’s Medical History.
  • Medical Info > Page 2 > Conditions – Condition for “Sleep Apnea” added.

Payment

  • The pop-up message at the end of a patient payment to Print or Email the Receipt for the patient required a default setting. Added an option on the Administrative Tab to set the default to Print or Email. Initial default for all patients is to Print.

Find Patient Screen

  • Added a prompt allowing you to confirm before displaying large search results in the window, as large search results can take longer to load. You can select to display the results or cancel and refine your search instead of waiting for the results to load.

Medical Tab

  • Health ID Province field was not wide enough to display all information entered. Due to spacing concerns, instead of making the Health ID Prov/State field larger, we added a Memo field below to allow for notes to be entered regarding the patient’s Health ID, such as their expiry date or reset information.

Statements

  • Printing a Statement for a family from “Statements” on the Patient Ledger will now save a copy to the Head of Family’s Documents folder for later reference, along with recording the Statement date/time on the Administrative Tab in Statement History.

Insurance Tab

  • Added DOB for policyholder on the Insurance tab for both Policyholder and any Dependents. This will save time when double-checking that the information is entered correctly for the Policyholder if there are concerns with the claim.

Profile Tab

  • Emergency Contact Info on the Profile Tab needs an indicator to show no data exists. Added an indicator to show when data exists and when it does not.
    • A red box with an exclamation mark indicates data is missing, while a green circle with a check mark indicates data is present.

Treatment Ticket (Billing and Treatment Plan/Estimates)

Treatment Ticket

  • Same option to email receipt at the end of a payment on the patient’s Ledger has been added to Treatment Ticket. The settings must be present to email individual receipts and the Head of Family must have an email address on their profile; the same settings are required to email a receipt after Patient Payment.
  • Discount window in Treatment Ticket will now prompt if a Discount was already applied to that Treatment Ticket before adding a Discount twice. This situation can happen when a Treatment Ticket is put on Relay after a Discount is applied and then when reopened to continue unless you know the prices of the regular Fee Guide to know a discount was applied, you may be looking to apply it a second time.

Reports and Printouts

Referral Form for Current Patient Data Entry

  • The fields for Consultation, Treatment, and Relevant History have been expanded and will adjust automatically for longer content. The Relevant History field is the largest and, with enough content, this form will print on two pages instead of the default 1 page it starts with.

Procedure Analysis by Practice Report

  • This report has been added to show procedures for the practice as a whole and not grouped by the Provider, allowing a more complete view of what is happening in the practice. The Procedure Analysis by Provider Reports is still available.

 

Patient Listing by Medical Condition

  • Added to Reports from Patient Ledger – “Patient Listing by Medical Conditions”. This report allows you to see how many patients have Conditions from Page 2 of the Medical Info window. Report shows patients by name and which Medical Condition(s) they have that qualify them to appear in the generated report.

 

Bank Deposit Summary Report

  • Reformatted for Insurance Payments to group by Insurance Company, as the Bank Deposit Detailed Report already does. Previously, the report lumped all Insurance Payments together similar to the section with Patient Payments. Now, the report is separated with the individual Insurance Companies and payments on those invoices for easier reading and verification of payments into your bank accounts.

 

Operations > Email Statements Window

  • Email Statements is available to offices with a Bulk Email Statement subscription, if you are interested, please let your Account Manager know. When activated, if there are no patients with Email Statements checked on the Administrative Tab, a message will appear to indicate no patients have this option selected and where to update when “Send Emails” is selected in this window.

 

Relay Listing Report

  • Relay Listing Report from Reports > General Reports— the Date Range printed on the report was only the Fiscal Date Range. Added columns for Fiscal Date and Posting Date to show all dates in the report to make the report easier to read.

 

Bank Deposit Review Detail Report

  • Updated with a note at the bottom of the report to identify which Methods of Payment are listed under “Other” when only some Methods of Payment are selected instead of All Combined Payment Method.

 

Patients without Future Appointment and Recall

  • In Listings > “Patients Without Future Appointment and Without Recall” & “Patients Without Future Appointment OR Without Recall”, have added criteria to search by Last Appointment Date range to find patients based on when they were last in the office.

 

Close Day/Month/Year

  • Added an option to archive reports selected to run with each Close operation. In each Close window, there is a new checkbox to “Archive Selected Reports,” which will automatically record the reports that day to the computer the Close operation is performed on. If this computer is switched out later, these reports would have to be manually moved to a new workstation

 

MaxiPlanner – Scheduler Enhancements

Appointment Book

“Date Added to Short List”

  • Added a field for Date Added to Short List. Previously, only the Date the Appointment was created was listed. The Short List can also be sorted to the Date Added to Short List by clicking on that header so that you can choose whether to work with newer or older entries first.                                                                     

Unscheduled Appointments   

  • Added columns for “Date Created” and “Date Modified” to show when the Unscheduled Appointment was added to the listing and last modified.
  • In Unscheduled Appointment Manager, we added the ability to filter by name (a-z), by preferred provider, by units of time on the Unscheduled Appointment, by creation label (Treatment Plan, Patient, or Resto Treatment Set) and by family. Clicking on the new “Filter” button will provide sorting options. If the list is set to Column Sort then the column sorted by is highlighted in blue.
  • Treatment column does not need to show the additional text of “Resto Treatment Set”, “Patient” or “Treatment Plan”. We added an option to “Show Extended Treatment Description” in the Unscheduled Appointment window. When selected, this text will appear and when unselected, it will not, making the Treatment Column easier to read without resizing the Unscheduled Appointments window in the Scheduler.

Find Free Time

  • Added an option to not include “Available Blockout” in the settings. The option to not include “Available Blockouts” is selected by default and Unavailable Blockouts are still hidden in Find Free Time search results. This allows you to select it if you want to see time marked with an Available Blockout in your search results or not, to find time for your patient.

“Active” Providers

  • Added option in Manage > Providers to specify if a Provider is Active, similar to the setting for Patients. When Active is unchecked, a provider will not appear in lists like Waiting List, Unscheduled Appointments, Chairs, Edit Providers and “Show List of providers who work today”.

Patient Recalls  

  • When booking a patient’s appointment, the warning message regarding the patient’s Recalls due after the scheduled appointment date would not show while booking an appointment for Today’s Date. Updated to show the warning message on Today’s Date as well.

Miscellaneous

Spell Check

  • Enhanced functionality to add words to the dictionary in Maxident and MaxiChart. Once a word is underlined in red you can right-click on it and “Add to dictionary” or “Check spelling”. Once a word is in the dictionary, options to “Check spelling”, “Ignore”, “Change” or “Cancel” will appear.

MaxiReminder Preferences

  • System > Preferences > Location Preferences > MaxiReminder > “Do not include ICS files in appointment reminders”. When selected, the MaxiReminder and direct from appointment emails will not contain an attachment for patients to add the appointment to their Google / Outlook / Yahoo / other calendars from the email, they will have to add manually.

 

Email Usage Report

  • Messages were not retained beyond 30 days, so we added the ability to see older messages and store the Usage Reports in Maxident both manually (click on Email Usage Report in MaxiReminder) and automatically (Location Preferences > MaxiReminder > Automatically Synchronize MG Log).

 

Invalid Email Address

  • In MaxiReminder, MaxiSurvey and MaxiBlast, email will not be sent if the patient’s email address was incorrect. Added a pop-up message box to list the patient’s name and email address if the address is invalid and messages could not be sent. The pop-up error can be Copied to Clipboard to paste in Notepad or elsewhere to work with more than one patient in the list.

Appointment Book

Add/Edit Appointment Window

  • The Family Appointments section was showing Cancelled appointments as well as Booked.
    • Fixed to not display the Cancelled Appointments in this section.

Find Free Time search

 

  • Unavailable Blockout time slot was showing as Available in the search results.
  • Fixed to hide Unavailable Blockouts whether they are all day or a shorter time range. In MaxiPlanner > Program Options > Find Free Time > Search Intensity – this setting can also have an affect on your search results. The closer to “more intensive” the sensitivity is, the more results will show.

 

Unscheduled Appointment Manager

  • Date Modified information is not getting updated when the Unscheduled Appointment is updated.
    • Fixed to update the Date Modified section when the Unscheduled Appointment is edited.

Location Preference

  • System > Preferences > Location Preference > “Show the appointment date column in the ledger’s recalls grid” was not working properly to hide the Appointment Date column when unchecked.
    • Fixed to properly hide the Appointment Date column when that option is unselected.

  • Fixed to allow selection of multiple files to add to the patient’s Documents at the same time.

Medical Info

  • in the Disclaimer there was a typo with “provider” both onscreen and in the printout. Fixed.
  • On page 3 of the Questionnaire, added multi-line questions are not showing all the lines in the display or printout.
    • Fixed to display all text of an added question.

Invoice Notes

  • When there is an existing Invoice Note, the cursor is still at the upper left of the window when opened, instead of at the end of the existing text.
    • Fixed to place the cursor at the end of existing text when the Invoice Note window is opened from the Patient Ledger.
  • The last updated date stamp was not picking up the current date / time properly when notes were updated.
    • Fixed to update to the current date / time when an Invoice Note is updated.

Reports and Printouts

AR for Billing / Treatment Provider Allocations

  • Was showing different totals for the Total Balance and Grand Total on the report. Fixed to show Adjustments properly and totals now match.

Referral Form for Current Patient

  • Error found in printing the form if the Referrer had a long name / address information.
    • Edited the Referral To field in the Referral Form to display up to 250 characters. Over this limit the information will simply not print and no error message will appear.

Referral Detailed Report

  • Reports > General Reports > Referral > Referral Detailed report – clarified that if the Posting Date filter is set to “Do Not Use Posting Date” the report will show only the first payment recorded for that patient. If the Posting Date filter is used then all payments are included in the report.

Bank Deposit by Treatment Provider

  • Reports > General Reports > Review > Bank Deposit by Treatment Provider –  “Payment method to be included” filter option is not working properly to remove unselected Methods of Payment from the display.
    • Fixed to display only selected options.

    • Fixed report to show each Credit Note on only one line in the report.

Ortho Contract Listing Report

  • Reports > General Reports > Ortho Contracts > Ortho Contract Listing. The report was including deleted patients in the results.
    • Fixed the report to not display patients marked as Deleted in the report results.
  • Sort options were not functioning properly.
    • Fixed to sort properly for Patient Name, Patient Number, Date Created, Provider Number and all other criteria.

User Defined Recalls

  • Reports > General Reports > Recalls > “User Defined Recalls” report, although patient Primary Phone and Secondary Phone are options to include in the report, the phone numbers do not show in the report results like they do with Recall Report.
    • Updated to include phone numbers in the report when they are selected to be listed.

Accounts Receivable

  • Reports > General Reports > Accounts Receivable > AR Listing Detailed / AR Listing Summary Reports were not displaying information correctly from a Frozen Ledger.
    • Fixed to display information properly from both Frozen and Current Ledgers as selected.

Practice Summary Report

  • Operations > Close Day > Daily Practice Summary compared to the Bank Deposit Review Summary was not matching values in some Payment Methods.
    • Updated code regarding handling of NSF transactions and this resolved the display.

Print Statements

SMS Automatic Confirmation

  • SMS Monitor added the ability to automatically confirm patients from their SMS Response as can be set for Email Confirmations. If the patient responds with the appropriate preset text at the start of their SMS response, the SMS Monitor will update the Next Appointment for the patient to a Status of Confirmed and add a checkmark in the “Is Confirmed” column in the SMS Monitor. By clicking on the “+” on the SMS Message marked Confirmed you can also see the corresponding Appointment that was updated. If there are multiple family members with the same mobile number and appointments on the same day, all appointments will be marked as confirmed.
    • Settings must be updated in Location Preferences to turn on Automatic sending of Appointment Reminders, contact your Support Tech or Account Manager for assistance.

Appointment Book

Add / Edit Appointments Window

  • Created more “Quick Unit” buttons for 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 unit appointments. These buttons were added to better assist our 10 minute unit offices.
  • Added patient’s Preferred Name to the Patient field. Patients with a Preferred Name will have their name displayed with (Prefers: XXX) at the end, example: [2.0] John White (Prefers: Johnny).
  • Added “Chart Number” field to the patient info in the lower right of the window. This field will be blank if there is no Chart Number on the patient’s Profile Tab.
  • When Adding / Editing an Appointment, if you click the Recalls button (lower right) and add a Recall for the patient here, you can now attach this newly created Recall to the currently open Appointment. This will update the Recall to Is Booked and show the Appointment Date on the Recalls Tab of the patient’s ledger.
  • The “Booked By” field was enhanced to be locked to the user logged into Maxident for offices with logins on their Maxident program.

 

Find Free Time

  • System > Preferences > Location Preference > Reports. Added a new preference to turn off auto-saving of an Individual Statement into the patient’s Document Manager. Preference is named “Automatically save individual printed statements to the Patient’s Document Manager.”

 

EOB

  • When an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) response is received from insurance with electronic claim submission, added option to automatically process EOB to redistribute charges from insurance to the patient and vice versa. This Location Preference, when turned on, will recognize responses from insurance in the EOB and redistribute charges in the insurance portion for each code to match the amounts covered by insurance in the EOB. Therefore, you can spend less time manually redistributing charges for invoices when an EOB is received!

Never-Lose-a-Patient Recall and Appointment System (NLAPRAS)

  • Operations > Never Lose a Patient Recall and Appointment System > search results > patient information (lower right) > Call History.
    • Updated to default to display all family member’s Call History.
  • On the Treatment Plan tab, the button for “Book Appointment” now takes you to the Current Date in MaxiPlanner to book a patient’s appointment from a Treatment Plan search in this window. On the Recall Tab, the “Book Appointment” button still takes you to the Recall Date in MaxiPlanner.
  • Never Lose a Patient Recall and Appointment System (NLAPRAAS) > Recalls > Patient Info section – updated to show “best time to call” from the patient’s Profile Tab.

 

Referrers

  • Manage > External Referrers > Referrers – added ability to merge and delete duplicate External Referrers in the office listings. You can select one or more “Source” External Referrers on the left to be merged into the “Destination” External Referrer on the right. As the process is completed, a confirmation window appears with the total number of patients who had their External Referrer updated.

Medical Info

  • Added a new screen for physical info into the Medical Info found with the new Physical Info button at the bottom of the Medical Info window. Physical Info gives specific space to record a patient’s height and weight in Metric or Imperial units, along with notes. The Physical Info section can be accessed while the Medical Info is Locked but cannot be opened at the same time as the Dental History.
  • Medical Alert/Medical Info – added options so that an office can select which Medical Conditions in the Medical Info form (page 2) trigger a note in the Medical Alert for the patient. Setting is in Medical Info > File > Manage Medical Conditions for Alerts. Here an office can select any or all of the page 2 medical conditions from the Medical Info to show in the Medical Alert moving forward.
  • Added two new conditions — HIV and AIDS — on page 2 of the Medical Info forms. These conditions can also be selected to flag onto the patient’s Medical Alert from Medical Info > File > Manage Medical Conditions for Alerts.

 

Procedure Usage Count Screen

  • Patient Ledger > Insurance tab > Procedure Usage Count Screen – Added a new button to show fluoride billed in current insurance year. As with other Procedure Usage Counts, the codes are listed in the window, and units must be set within your Fee Guide to list properly.   • Prescription Writer > Past Prescriptions – added the prescriber’s name after the patient’s name in the listing.

  • Click on coverage limits / amounts remaining > Coverage Used Elsewhere window. Added space to record Patient Deductible paid elsewhere. Similar to the Coverage Used Elsewhere, this will remove the Deductible required in the amount marked as Paid Elsewhere for the current renewal period in Maxident. Also added the option to delete entries from this record in case they are made in error.

  • Patient Ledger > Reminders Tab > Validate – enhanced to identify more concerns with bad email addresses and display message clearer to the user.

 

Receipt History

  • Patient Ledger > History > Receipt History – Added a prompt for the user if the Patient’s address has been updated since the original receipt was generated. User can decide if they want to use the updated address or the original. Bank Deposit Review Detail Report

  • Reports > General Reports > Review > Bank Deposit Review Detail Report – added a criteria panel to select Insurance Company for the report. This would allow an office to check the monies received from a particular Insurance Company against the Doctor’s bank statement.

 

Medical Tab

  • On the Medical Info form (Medical Tab > Medical Info OR Patient > Medical Info) the Blank Medical Info printout was missing the disclaimer added to all Current Patient printouts of the same form. Added the disclaimer to the Blank Medical Info form printout.

 

Referral Form For Current Patient

  • Reports > Referral Form For Current Patient OR MaxiChart > Patient > Referral Form For Current Patient – added the option to update patient’s Referred To field while completing the form via the pencil to the right of the Referred To field. User must select Yes when prompted to update the Referred To for the patient to the Referrer selected here.
  • Updated to display the Policy Holder’s name and DOB for the primary insurance policy.
  • Using the Maxident French Translations for both a Maxident User and for a patient with their Language set to French on the Administrative Tab, found there were printouts that were still printing in English for the patient. Updated to show the “Referral Form for Current Patient”, “Dentist Routing Slip for Current patient”, “Appointment List for Current Patient”, “Statements” in French for patients with the correct Language designation. Statements will print in French only if the Head of Family’s Language is set to French.

 

Ortho Contract Listing Report Options

  • Reports > General Reports > Ortho Contracts > Ortho Contract Listing report – added filter in the background to exclude any deleted Ortho Contracts.

 

Detailed Receipt

  • Detailed Receipt had the office’s address information on the top right so it did not fit in a dual window envelope. Switched with the logo to now have the address on the upper left to fit properly in a dual window envelope with the patient’s address.

 

Practice Summary vs. Procedures Itemized

  • Found the lab totals were slightly off. Concern was traced back to more than one lab code used. If office is using more than one lab code, the Practice Summary report will show the grand total, and the Procedures Itemized needs to include both lab codes in the code range to match.

 

Patient Without Future Appointment Reports

  • Reports > General Reports > Listings > Patient without future appointment reports – added criteria to sort by Last Appointment Date range to find those patients who attended the office but left without a future appointment.

 

Bulk Payment Report

  • Bulk Payment Report generated at the end of a Bulk Payment operation – updated to include the name of the insurance company on the printout.

Find Patient Search Window

  • Updated to show a tooltip regarding search criteria available for use and added the ability to search by 10-digit phone numbers utilizing the hyphen (-) that was not previously required in the search.

MaxiReminder Preferences

  • System > Preferences > Location Preferences > MaxiReminder > “Do not include ICS files in appointment reminders”. When selected, the MaxiReminder and direct from appointment emails will not contain an attachment for patients to add the appointment to their Google / Outlook / Yahoo / other calendars from the email, they will have to add manually.

 

Email Usage Report

  • Messages were not retained beyond 30 days, so we added the ability to see older messages and store the Usage Reports in Maxident both manually (click on Email Usage Report in MaxiReminder) and automatically (Location Preferences > MaxiReminder > Automatically Synchronize MG Log).

 

Invalid Email Address

  • In MaxiReminder, MaxiSurvey and MaxiBlast, email will not be sent if the patient’s email address was incorrect. Added a pop-up message box to list the patient’s name and email address if the address is invalid and messages could not be sent. The pop-up error can be Copied to Clipboard to paste in Notepad or elsewhere to work with more than one patient in the list.

Add/Edit Appointment Window

  • The Family Appointments section was showing Cancelled appointments as well as Booked.
    • Fixed to not display the Cancelled Appointments in this section.

Find Free Time search

 

  • Unavailable Blockout time slot was showing as Available in the search results.
  • Fixed to hide Unavailable Blockouts whether they are all day or a shorter time range. In MaxiPlanner > Program Options > Find Free Time > Search Intensity – this setting can also have an affect on your search results. The closer to “more intensive” the sensitivity is, the more results will show.

  • Was showing different totals for the Total Balance and Grand Total on the report. Fixed to show Adjustments properly and totals now match.

 

Referral Form for Current Patient

  • Error found in printing the form if the Referrer had a long name / address information.
    • Edited the Referral To field in the Referral Form to display up to 250 characters. Over this limit the information will simply not print and no error message will appear.

 

Referral Detailed Report

  • Reports > General Reports > Referral > Referral Detailed report – clarified that if the Posting Date filter is set to “Do Not Use Posting Date” the report will show only the first payment recorded for that patient. If the Posting Date filter is used then all payments are included in the report.

 

Bank Deposit by Treatment Provider

  • Reports > General Reports > Review > Bank Deposit by Treatment Provider –  “Payment method to be included” filter option is not working properly to remove unselected Methods of Payment from the display.

  • Reports > Referral Form For Current Patient OR MaxiChart > Patient > Referral Form For Current Patient – added the option to update patient’s Referred To field while completing the form via the pencil to the right of the Referred To field. User must select Yes when prompted to update the Referred To for the patient to the Referrer selected here.
  • Updated to display the Policy Holder’s name and DOB for the primary insurance policy.
  • Using the Maxident French Translations for both a Maxident User and for a patient with their Language set to French on the Administrative Tab, found there were printouts that were still printing in English for the patient. Updated to show the “Referral Form for Current Patient”, “Dentist Routing Slip for Current patient”, “Appointment List for Current Patient”, “Statements” in French for patients with the correct Language designation. Statements will print in French only if the Head of Family’s Language is set to French.

 

Ortho Contract Listing Report Options

  • Reports > General Reports > Ortho Contracts > Ortho Contract Listing report – added filter in the background to exclude any deleted Ortho Contracts.

 

Detailed Receipt

  • Detailed Receipt had the office’s address information on the top right so it did not fit in a dual window envelope. Switched with the logo to now have the address on the upper left to fit properly in a dual window envelope with the patient’s address.

 

Practice Summary vs. Procedures Itemized

  • Found the lab totals were slightly off. Concern was traced back to more than one lab code used. If office is using more than one lab code, the Practice Summary report will show the grand total, and the Procedures Itemized needs to include both lab codes in the code range to match.

 

Patient Without Future Appointment Reports

  • Reports > General Reports > Listings > Patient without future appointment reports – added criteria to sort by Last Appointment Date range to find those patients who attended the office but left without a future appointment.

 

Bulk Payment Report

  • Bulk Payment Report generated at the end of a Bulk Payment operation – updated to include the name of the insurance company on the printout.

Find Patient Search Window

  • Updated to show a tooltip regarding search criteria available for use and added the ability to search by 10-digit phone numbers utilizing the hyphen (-) that was not previously required in the search.

Management Screens

Document Manager

  • Will remember the width of columns when the columns are manually resized. The resized columns will be remembered by the system when the Document Manager is closed and reopened for the same or a different patient.

User Manager

  • Users and user roles under System > User Manager window needs additional validation for users restricted to seeing their own production in reports. A provider is now required on the User Profile if this option is selected for the User Role. This allows the user to see only the selected Provider’s information in Reports when this option is turned on.
    • Previously, if the User Role was set to “This role can only see its own production in reports”, there was a loophole that allowed the option for “User is also this provider” setting in the User Profile to be left blank.

 

Provider Management (multi-location offices)

  • Under Manage > Providers > select a Provider on the left, we changed the “Location” label to “Default Location” for offices with more than one Location in their db to specify which Location that provider works in.

EDI Manager

  • EDI – iCA v3 or higher, a screen pops up every time a claim is sent instead of remaining minimized in the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Fixed to remain open and minimized between claims so it will not pop up with each claim.

 

Never Lose a Patient Recall and Appointment System (NLAPRAAS)

  • Should display patient’s preferred name in the window. Updated to display the Preferred Name in the lower right with the patient’s personal information.

Treatment Plan Manager

  • Treatment Plan Manager > Insurance Tab – When editing the “Approval Note” section, the Save All Changes button does not get enabled. Fixed to enable the Save All Changes button as the text is entered into the “Approval Note” section on the Insurance Tab.
  • Added the ability to print a Treatment Estimate with only selected Treatments from the Treatment Plan/Estimate selected. When printing a Treatment Estimate, only the selected codes will appear on the printed sheet.

Patient Ledger and Accounting Operations

Medical Info

  • Added a button for “No change since the last visit” so that nothing needs to be added or changed to activate the “Save Changes” button when the patient comes in. This is so that you do not have to update an answer to a question or add a custom question regarding changes to save an updated copy of your patient’s Medical History.
  • Medical Info > Page 2 > Conditions – Condition for “Sleep Apnea” added.

Payment

  • The pop-up message at the end of a patient payment to Print or Email the Receipt for the patient required a default setting. Added an option on the Administrative Tab to set the default to Print or Email. Initial default for all patients is to Print.

Find Patient Screen

  • Added a prompt allowing you to confirm before displaying large search results in the window, as large search results can take longer to load. You can select to display the results or cancel and refine your search instead of waiting for the results to load.

Medical Tab

  • Health ID Province field was not wide enough to display all information entered. Due to spacing concerns, instead of making the Health ID Prov/State field larger, we added a Memo field below to allow for notes to be entered regarding the patient’s Health ID, such as their expiry date or reset information.

Statements

  • Printing a Statement for a family from “Statements” on the Patient Ledger will now save a copy to the Head of Family’s Documents folder for later reference, along with recording the Statement date/time on the Administrative Tab in Statement History.

Insurance Tab

  • Added DOB for policyholder on the Insurance tab for both Policyholder and any Dependents. This will save time when double-checking that the information is entered correctly for the Policyholder if there are concerns with the claim.

Profile Tab

  • Emergency Contact Info on the Profile Tab needs an indicator to show no data exists. Added an indicator to show when data exists and when it does not.
    • A red box with an exclamation mark indicates data is missing, while a green circle with a check mark indicates data is present.

Treatment Ticket (Billing and Treatment Plan/Estimates)

Treatment Ticket

  • Same option to email receipt at the end of a payment on the patient’s Ledger has been added to Treatment Ticket. The settings must be present to email individual receipts and the Head of Family must have an email address on their profile; the same settings are required to email a receipt after Patient Payment.
  • Discount window in Treatment Ticket will now prompt if a Discount was already applied to that Treatment Ticket before adding a Discount twice. This situation can happen when a Treatment Ticket is put on Relay after a Discount is applied and then when reopened to continue unless you know the prices of the regular Fee Guide to know a discount was applied, you may be looking to apply it a second time.

Reports and Printouts

Referral Form for Current Patient Data Entry

  • The fields for Consultation, Treatment, and Relevant History have been expanded and will adjust automatically for longer content. The Relevant History field is the largest and, with enough content, this form will print on two pages instead of the default 1 page it starts with.

Procedure Analysis by Practice Report

  • This report has been added to show procedures for the practice as a whole and not grouped by the Provider, allowing a more complete view of what is happening in the practice. The Procedure Analysis by Provider Reports is still available.

 

Patient Listing by Medical Condition

  • Added to Reports from Patient Ledger – “Patient Listing by Medical Conditions”. This report allows you to see how many patients have Conditions from Page 2 of the Medical Info window. Report shows patients by name and which Medical Condition(s) they have that qualify them to appear in the generated report.

 

Bank Deposit Summary Report

  • Reformatted for Insurance Payments to group by Insurance Company, as the Bank Deposit Detailed Report already does. Previously, the report lumped all Insurance Payments together similar to the section with Patient Payments. Now, the report is separated with the individual Insurance Companies and payments on those invoices for easier reading and verification of payments into your bank accounts.

 

Operations > Email Statements Window

  • Email Statements is available to offices with a Bulk Email Statement subscription, if you are interested, please let your Account Manager know. When activated, if there are no patients with Email Statements checked on the Administrative Tab, a message will appear to indicate no patients have this option selected and where to update when “Send Emails” is selected in this window.

 

Relay Listing Report

  • Relay Listing Report from Reports > General Reports— the Date Range printed on the report was only the Fiscal Date Range. Added columns for Fiscal Date and Posting Date to show all dates in the report to make the report easier to read.

 

Bank Deposit Review Detail Report

  • Updated with a note at the bottom of the report to identify which Methods of Payment are listed under “Other” when only some Methods of Payment are selected instead of All Combined Payment Method.

 

Patients without Future Appointment and Recall

  • In Listings > “Patients Without Future Appointment and Without Recall” & “Patients Without Future Appointment OR Without Recall”, have added criteria to search by Last Appointment Date range to find patients based on when they were last in the office.

 

Close Day/Month/Year

  • Added an option to archive reports selected to run with each Close operation. In each Close window, there is a new checkbox to “Archive Selected Reports,” which will automatically record the reports that day to the computer the Close operation is performed on. If this computer is switched out later, these reports would have to be manually moved to a new workstation

 

MaxiPlanner – Scheduler Enhancements

Appointment Book

“Date Added to Short List”

  • Added a field for Date Added to Short List. Previously, only the Date the Appointment was created was listed. The Short List can also be sorted to the Date Added to Short List by clicking on that header so that you can choose whether to work with newer or older entries first.                                                                     

Unscheduled Appointments   

  • Added columns for “Date Created” and “Date Modified” to show when the Unscheduled Appointment was added to the listing and last modified.
  • In Unscheduled Appointment Manager, we added the ability to filter by name (a-z), by preferred provider, by units of time on the Unscheduled Appointment, by creation label (Treatment Plan, Patient, or Resto Treatment Set) and by family. Clicking on the new “Filter” button will provide sorting options. If the list is set to Column Sort then the column sorted by is highlighted in blue.
  • Treatment column does not need to show the additional text of “Resto Treatment Set”, “Patient” or “Treatment Plan”. We added an option to “Show Extended Treatment Description” in the Unscheduled Appointment window. When selected, this text will appear and when unselected, it will not, making the Treatment Column easier to read without resizing the Unscheduled Appointments window in the Scheduler.

Find Free Time

  • Added an option to not include “Available Blockout” in the settings. The option to not include “Available Blockouts” is selected by default and Unavailable Blockouts are still hidden in Find Free Time search results. This allows you to select it if you want to see time marked with an Available Blockout in your search results or not, to find time for your patient.

“Active” Providers

  • Added option in Manage > Providers to specify if a Provider is Active, similar to the setting for Patients. When Active is unchecked, a provider will not appear in lists like Waiting List, Unscheduled Appointments, Chairs, Edit Providers and “Show List of providers who work today”.

Patient Recalls  

  • When booking a patient’s appointment, the warning message regarding the patient’s Recalls due after the scheduled appointment date would not show while booking an appointment for Today’s Date. Updated to show the warning message on Today’s Date as well.

Miscellaneous

Protected Feature System

  • Security was enhanced so that users who were not approved for access to that part of the system are denied access with a message indicating they should speak to their system administrator and those with approved access do not have to enter their password to complete those functions.
  • Enhanced the system controls to allow for each aspect of the Protected Features System to be turned on or off independently when the System as a whole is enabled. Now you can choose if you want Blockouts, Payments, Scheduling Appointment, or Committing Chart Notes all activated or simply one or two.
  • Added Blockouts to the Protected Feature System to control access to creating/editing/deleting blockouts.

Spell Check

  • Enhanced functionality to add words to the dictionary in Maxident and MaxiChart. Once a word is underlined in red you can right-click on it and “Add to dictionary” or “Check spelling”. Once a word is in the dictionary, options to “Check spelling”, “Ignore”, “Change” or “Cancel” will appear.

Committed Notes

  • Notes > Chart Notes > Committed – added a search button so that Committed Notes can be searched using keywords.

 

Uncommitted Chart Notes

  • MaxiChart > Notes > Chart Notes > Uncommitted Chart Notes – enhanced the automatic saving functionality that once Save is clicked the first time, it keeps all edits and changes made after.

 

Manage Predefined Notes

  • MaxiChart > Manage Predefined Notes > Chart Note – updated to sort predefined chart notes based on the Windows sorting method — sorted numerically first then alphabetically for the list. For example, a note title starting with “1” would appear before one starting with “A”.

 

Patient With a Medical Alert

  • The Medical Alert icon will flash initially then remains yellow in MaxiChart to indicate a Medical Alert on the patient’s information. If no Medical Alert exists for the patient, the icon will stay blue.

 

Treatment Grid (below Resto Odontogram)

  • The Tooth Number should be bolded to be easier to see in the Treatment Details Grid. Updated to place the Tooth Number in a white box with bold font to highlight.

 

Additional Clinical Examination

  • Added an indicator in MaxiChart for Additional Clinical Examination (ACE) entries beyond PSR Values. “Clin Exam Date” now appears to the left of the Posted Note icon when an ACE entry has been made. The Date will update to the last saved date as the form is updated.

MaxiReminder Preferences

  • System > Preferences > Location Preferences > MaxiReminder > “Do not include ICS files in appointment reminders”. When selected, the MaxiReminder and direct from appointment emails will not contain an attachment for patients to add the appointment to their Google / Outlook / Yahoo / other calendars from the email, they will have to add manually.

 

Email Usage Report

  • Messages were not retained beyond 30 days, so we added the ability to see older messages and store the Usage Reports in Maxident both manually (click on Email Usage Report in MaxiReminder) and automatically (Location Preferences > MaxiReminder > Automatically Synchronize MG Log).

 

Invalid Email Address

  • In MaxiReminder, MaxiSurvey and MaxiBlast,  email will not be sent if the patient’s email address was incorrect. Added a pop-up message box to list the patient’s name and email address if the address is invalid and messages could not be sent. The pop-up error can be Copied to Clipboard to paste in Notepad or elsewhere to work with more than one patient in the list.

Appointment Book

Add/Edit Appointment Window

  • The Family Appointments section was showing Cancelled appointments as well as Booked.
    • Fixed to not display the Cancelled Appointments in this section.

Find Free Time search

 

  • Unavailable Blockout time slot was showing as Available in the search results.
  • Fixed to hide Unavailable Blockouts whether they are all day or a shorter time range. In MaxiPlanner > Program Options > Find Free Time > Search Intensity – this setting can also have an affect on your search results. The closer to “more intensive” the sensitivity is, the more results will show.

Unscheduled Appointments

  • Date Modified information is not getting updated when the Unscheduled Appointment is updated.
    • Fixed to update the Date Modified section when the Unscheduled Appointment is edited.

Location Preference

  • System > Preferences > Location Preference > “Show the appointment date column in the ledger’s recalls grid” was not working properly to hide the Appointment Date column when unchecked.
    • Fixed to properly hide the Appointment Date column when that option is unselected.

  • Fixed to allow selection of multiple files to add to the patient’s Documents at the same time.

 

Patient Ledger and Accounting Operations

Medical Info

  • On page 3 of the Questionnaire, added multi-line questions are not showing all the lines in the display or printout.
    • Fixed to display all text of an added question.

 

Invoice Notes

  • When there is an existing Invoice Note, the cursor is still at the upper left of the window when opened, instead of at the end of the existing text.
    • Fixed to place the cursor at the end of existing text when the Invoice Note window is opened from the Patient Ledger.
  • The last updated date stamp was not picking up the current date / time properly when notes were updated.
    • Fixed to update to the current date / time when an Invoice Note is updated.

 

Reports and Printouts

AR for Billing / Treatment Provider Allocations

  • Was showing different totals for the Total Balance and Grand Total on the report. Fixed to show Adjustments properly and totals now match.

 

Referral Form for Current Patient

  • Error found in printing the form if the Referrer had a long name / address information.
    • Edited the Referral To field in the Referral Form to display up to 250 characters. Over this limit the information will simply not print and no error message will appear.

 

Referral Detailed Report

  • Reports > General Reports > Referral > Referral Detailed report – clarified that if the Posting Date filter is set to “Do Not Use Posting Date” the report will show only the first payment recorded for that patient. If the Posting Date filter is used then all payments are included in the report.

 

Bank Deposit by Treatment Provider

  • Reports > General Reports > Review > Bank Deposit by Treatment Provider –  “Payment method to be included” filter option is not working properly to remove unselected Methods of Payment from the display.
    • Fixed to display only selected options.

 

Ortho Contract Listing Report

  • Reports > General Reports > Ortho Contracts > Ortho Contract Listing. The report was including deleted patients in the results.
    • Fixed the report to not display patients marked as Deleted in the report results.
  • Sort options were not functioning properly.
    • Fixed to sort properly for Patient Name, Patient Number, Date Created, Provider Number and all other criteria.

 

User Defined Recalls

  • Reports > General Reports > Recalls > “User Defined Recalls” report, although patient Primary Phone and Secondary Phone are options to include in the report, the phone numbers do not show in the report results like they do with Recall Report.
    • Updated to include phone numbers in the report when they are selected to be listed.

 

Accounts Receivable

  • Reports > General Reports > Accounts Receivable > AR Listing Detailed / AR Listing Summary Reports were not displaying information correctly from a Frozen Ledger.
    • Fixed to display information properly from both Frozen and Current Ledgers as selected.

 

Practice Summary Report

  • Operations > Close Day > Daily Practice Summary compared to the Bank Deposit Review Summary was not matching values in some Payment Methods.
    • Updated code regarding handling of NSF transactions and this resolved the display.

 

Print Statements

  • Under Operations > Statements > Print Statements > “Statements should be dated” is not working properly to mark statements with the selected date.
    • Fixed to mark statements with the correct date and added calendar dropdown for date selection.

 

Detailed Standard Receipt

  • Found that the Patient Balance Due is listed incorrectly with a Line Payment applied to multiple invoices.
    • Fixed to display the correct patient balances on the receipt.

 

Receipt History

  • Clicking on the “Payment Date” column header was not re-sorting the list order.
    • Fixed to re-sort the list and the printed list when the Payment Date column header is clicked.

 

Detailed Receipt

  • Showing incorrect balance remaining in Patient and Insurance columns. Fixed to show correct balances in Patient and Insurance columns on the Detailed Receipt.

 

POS Receipt

  • Is showing “Cancelled” future Appointments instead of just active future Appointments.
    • Fixed to print only active future Appointments on the patient receipts.

 

Patient Listing Report

  • Added “Next Appointment Date” as an option in Settings Tab for display in the report. By default, the available space in the report is full so an existing option or two will need to be unselected to fit “Next Appointment Date” into the available space.

Login Screen

  • Updated to prompt a user if they are attempting to log into a Location in Maxident that is not set as their Default Location in the “Users and User Roles” set up.

Chart Notes

  • when printing, the formatting of a Chart Note including strikeout were not printing properly.
    • Fixed to show formatting of the Chart Note on the printout.

 

Committed Chart Notes

  • Notes > Chart Notes > Committed Chart Notes > right click menu “Copy Selected Text” – the Paste option was not coming up properly to paste the note outside of the Chart Notes window.
    • Fixed to properly copy part or all of the Committed Chart Notes and paste in any space.

 

Uncommitted Chart Notes

  • Found an issue with an unsaved Uncommitted Chart Note disappearing when the user selected No in the confirmation window “Are you sure you want to cancel this note?”.
    • Fixed so that if the Chart Notes window is minimized before the Uncommitted Chart Note is saved and other entries are made on the patient’s chart, the answer No to the question above retains the entered Uncommitted Chart Note. If the office is using the auto note feature in MaxiChart, the automatically created note from the charted treatment will be saved on its own tab separate from the unsaved Uncommitted Chart Note.

Appointment and Recall SMS Reminders

  • MaxiReminder Appointment and Recall SMS Reminders were including the extension listed on the patient’s Mobile number.
    • Fixed to exclude ignore the phone number extension for Mobile numbers when in sending MaxiReminder SMS Messages.

 

SMS Monitor

  • Was showing cancelled appointments in the list of Appointments available to be set to “Confirmed by SMS”.
    • Fixed the setting to not show Appointments marked “Cancelled” in the list of appointments available to be marked “Confirmed by SMS”.

 

Recall Reminders and MaxiSurvey emails

  • MaxiReminder Recall Reminders and MaxiSurvey emails are being sent with an ics file attached making it appear to the patient they had an appointment coming up where there was not an actual appointment.
    • Fixed to exclude the ics file with Recall and MaxiSurvey emails.
